The Dynamic Duo Behind Truck U
Two trucking insurance specialists with different backgrounds. One goal: helping trucking companies make better insurance decisions.
We met after UCI acquired the family insurance agency where Natasha had spent years building her trucking insurance career. At the same time, Jessica was helping build UCI's Existing Ventures team. When Natasha joined the department, we clicked.
Truck U grew out of the conversations we were already having every day. We talked through trucking insurance before work, after work, and sometimes all day at work. Instead of answering the same questions one trucking company at a time, we decided to build a place where anyone could find the answers.
We've become more than coworkers. We're friends. Our backgrounds are different, but that's exactly what makes Truck U work. Jessica brings trucking roots, sales experience, and an ability to connect with people. Natasha brings years of trucking insurance experience, strategy, and a love for solving complicated problems. Together, we're always learning, pushing each other, and getting better.
Someone once called us the "Dynamic Duo," and it stuck. We laugh too loud, teach what we know, build real connections, and never stop learning. That energy follows us everywhere. One day we're mapping out a coverage strategy barefoot, getting grounded no matter the location or the weather. The next we're off to nowhere Idaho for a Big Rig Tee, riding steam trains through the North Carolina mountains, shaking hands with the CEO of Great West, or winging it at the biggest trucking show in America with no clue what we're walking into.
Whatever we take on, we manage it the same way: teamwork, sarcasm, and a whole lot of laughs.
Natasha
Second-generation trucking insurance specialist helping owner-operators and fleets understand insurance, manage risk, and make better business decisions.
I’m a second-generation insurance agent. I grew up around the business, thanks to my dad, and eventually found my own path in it. More than 20 years later, with nearly 18 years focused on trucking insurance, I still enjoy learning something new every day.
In the early 2000s, I helped launch one of South Jersey's first all-digital insurance agencies. There wasn't a roadmap. We learned as we went, solved problems as they came up, and figured things out together. That experience still shapes how I approach trucking insurance today. Old-school values. Modern solutions with a dash of common sense.
I found trucking insurance almost by accident through a cross-sell opportunity, but it didn't take long before I was hooked. It's challenging and no two days are the same. Trucking also runs in my family. My grandfather founded Vanguard Incorporated, a company that supplied adhesive for refrigerated trailers, and my mom proudly continues that business today.
Over the years, I've worked with everyone from first-time owner-operators to established fleets. That experience has given me a broad view of the trucking industry and how insurance fits into it. Whether we're talking about coverage, claims, underwriting, or risk management, my goal is always the same: help trucking companies make informed decisions before they become expensive ones.
Jessica
I come from a long line of truckers. Owner operators, diesel techs, and dispatchers. I grew up with semis in the driveway, and that is still the norm.
That background is why I got into trucking insurance. I have seen what happens when coverage is wrong. Claims denied, businesses stalled, money lost. I built my career to stop that from happening.
I know what carriers deal with. Tight margins, tough calls, and constant pressure to keep moving. I am here to protect livelihoods with straight talk, smart coverage, and real world experience.
This industry raised me. Now I help protect the people who keep it running.
